The Covenant is best described as a common spirit of camaraderie, enthusiasm, and devotion to a cause among the members of the Covenant. We are gathered here to continue a quest to fulfill our gaming goals in a family friendly environment catering to gamers of all styles, all genres and with every sort of gaming schedule imaginable. It is a guild environment that asks its leadership to inspire our membership, rather than require anything of them. One that chooses to promote through ability and merit, rather than statistics and elitism....and makes clear it's standard that we are not a gaggle of gamers who happen to be under one tag, but a family of friends who enjoy gaming under a banner of chivalry superseded only by the spirit by which emanates from and is forever guarded by it's membership.

Some of the reasons why CotP is so great are;

Esprit de corps - A common spirit of comradeship, enthusiasm, and devotion to a cause among the members of a group.

Honor - Principled uprightness of character; personal integrity, dignity, and pride. Honor and reputation are the most valued assets in any game. You can replace lost items, but you can never regain your honor once it has been tarnished. Covenant of the Phoenix's honor is unblemished. All members are expected to conduct themselves in a mature and professional manner.

Multi Game Platforms - Currently we have chapters in AC, SWG, WOW, CoV, EQ2, Vanguard and now LotRO. More chapters will open up as the need arises. Let's face it, mmorpgs come and go. When looking for a guild you will want one that is willing to expand into other games. As of right now, AoC and PotBS loom large on our radar.

Longevity - Nothing against newer guilds out there, but it says alot about a guild that has been together for over 7 years. Those sorts of roots take a lot of hard work and dedication from the leaders and officers.

Diversity - We have members all across the globe.

Fun - The members are great. We have a blast pvping and roleplaying ingame, and our forums are filled with discussion, banter and good times. You currently may not play with all the members because we may play different games, but eventually we will get together on another game. It's what makes a multi gaming platform guild so good.

CotP will be in AoC from day one and hopefully many of us will be in from beta. We have big goals for this game. Vets of many, many MMO's will be joining us in this venture.

I have personally been in this guild for over 3 years now and couldn't imagine playing with a different group. We are still one of the longest standing Imperial Guilds on Bloodfin in SWG and are are top 5 guild in CoV.

We are not an UBER guild who focuses only on powerleveling. We understand that real people sit behind the keyboard and with real people come real lives. We not boot you for periods of inactivity. We will not demote you for periods of inactivity. Our first and foremost beliefs are loyalty, family and commradery.

As we are a multigame guild, once accepted, members are free to join any of our other game branches.

We are now actively taking applications for membership leading up to the game going live and will continue once Oct 30th arrives in game. Come be a part of what promises to be a VERY successful CotP branch. We have upwards of 30 people ready to jump in game as of day one as of right now. There is a LOT of interest in this game.

We look forward to meetimg new members.

I've been playing online games since 1994 or so, starting with Meridian 59 beta. In that time I've belonged to many different guilds and other groups, some good, some bad, some so-so.

In the year I've been with CotP I've never regretted joining. Just like a family, the ages range from teens to seniors, from students to professionals, from widely differing geographic backgrounds to nearby neighbors. Chapters I enjoyed playing with them included Guild Wars, CoV, DAOC, WoW and Vanguard.

If you're looking for a home, check us out; you'll have a ready-made group of friends for all the future games to come.

I've been with CotP for over a year and a half now. I first joined while playing Guild Wars. I had just left another guild which I was playing with for almost one year. It fell apart partly because of immaturity and some splintering actions by leadership.

I was looking for a mature guild which had a presence in multiple MMORPGs. If I develop relationships with members it is nice to know it is possible to continuing gaming with them even following the dissolution of a chapter or my own migration from game to game.

Once I joined I was impressed by the level or organization, community, and number of members from varying backgrounds. Almost immediately I felt as if I was part of not just a bunch of gamers, but more as a family that played games.

After tiring of Guild Wars, I moved to the newly formed City of Villains chapter within the guild. I helped the fledgling supergroup (guild) grow. My efforts paid off and I was promoted to officer. It is very possible to progress in the ranks with dedication and hard work. However, as it has been said we do not require members (even leaders of chapters) to devote all their spare time to the game or attain a certain level within a certain amount of time.

Now as a co-leader of the CoV chapter I help my guild even while attending college and not being able to devote a lot of spare time to my gamer side.

CotP is a guild for anyone who wants a mature (except not stuffy!) gaming experience, a multi-game guild, the ability to progress within the guild structure if the desire is there, and generally have a blast.

I've been with the CotP for a few years now, and it really is like a second family. People actually care about you - not just what level you are or how much equipment you have. It's a mature guild for a mature gamer. We also have chapter in many other MMOs, so if you want to change to another, you can still be in the guild. Overall, it's just a great group of people to be a part of.

I have been with the guild for three years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. We are a very close knit family of friends. Other mmorpgs and guilds may come and go, but CotP will still be standing. I have been gaming for years and I have played numerous mmorpgs starting with Ultima Online. I have been in other guilds and some were actually pretty good, but all of them pale in comparison to Covenant of the Phoenix.

The guild's goal is to meet and keep gaming friends, and move along together to other games as member interest dictates. The guild was founded on the principles of loyalty, honor, and brotherhood and thrives because on-line adventure games are more fun in the company of kindred spirits. Our membership ranges in age from teens to the late fifties and geographically spans the globe (although most are adults residing in the North American continent). Most of us have jobs or college commitments and families, and therefore we support the premise that real-life has priority over game-life. So power gaming isn't required.

Expectations.
We will give you the tools to become successful as a member and you will use these tools to build your character into a respectable member.

Role-playing is encouraged but not forced. Respect other people's choice to role-play.

Trash talking anywhere will not be tolerated period. As a member of CotP your actions reflect on us all.

As per our charter you are expected to treat all your fellow players with a certain level of respect and dignity regardless of guild.

We have members of all ages here. Profanity is unpleasant for most members and will not be tolerated in the forums or guild text chat. (There are appropriately rated Teamspeak and Ventrilo channels.)

We will not tolerate begging, scamming, intentional deception, strong foul language, sexual remarks, derogatory or prejudice remarks involving, not limited to, gender, nationality, religious and political beliefs, or sexual orientation.

We will assist you with leveling your characters, but we do not exist as a power leveling service. In turn, you will be expected to help others do the same.

This guild is a family, you will treat your fellow guildmates as such, at all times.

I have been with Covenant of the Phoenix now for 2 years and I can honestly say with out a doubt this has been the best 2 gamming years of my life. The guild offers so much more than just a normal gamming guild. We have platforms on many games. This has opened up so many doors since now you can play almost any game of choice with out the fear of finding a new group of players every time to play with. I also have to mention the superb family atmosphere that the guild promotes. This is just a few or the many reason why I could never see myself in another guild.

I have been gaming for more than 25 years. Covenant of the Phoenix represents the very best of what a guild should be. It is a helpful, mature, supportive group of friends who are always there for you, whether you need some help in-game, advice out-of-game, or just want someone to chat with.

We are an active guild, with chapters in most MMOs and active guild forums. From the first moments you join you will be welcomed into our family.

Come visit our website: www.covenantofthephoenix.com. Even if you choose not to join, you're welcome to stop by and say hello. We have an arcade, a guild store and a lot of great stuff to do and see.

Hope to see you there.

Hello all !

I'm Kaobang and I joined CotP (Covenant of the Phoenix) on AC-Darktide in 2002. Darktide is the ffa pvp server for AC and is a very harsh gaming environment. Friendship and honor mean everything and I found it in this guild.
I met as well many new friends, mature gamers of any ages and a guild I want to stay in any game I plan to play.

I found that CotP gives all opportunities for a gamer to play at the highest level and in the more competitive way. At the same time the guild respects your own way of gaming (casual, non pvp ...).

CotP is not lead by one megalomaniac leader lol, it is lead by experienced and mature gamers who form an assembly. More many decisions concerning the guild is often taken after guildwide poll in a true democractic way.

If you like to carry leadership duties in a game and beleive you need to make your own to have this chance, you are wrong. CotP gives the chance to any member to enter in the leadership.

To conclude, CotP is the best guild I know, my gaming family and I'm proud to be part of it and bring its emblem on any PVP battle field !

see you on AOC :)

I have been with the guild a lil over 2 weeks now. I think of many of the people I talk to here more of an extended family, and they've welcomed me in as soon as I arrived. I use to play Asheron's Call constantly, and having a lot of AC players from the old days in this guild really makes it fun to log on and share stories.

Belonging to a stable guild like this that has chapters in other games is great and makes you feel that no matter what game you play, there will always be someone there for you. Our website is pretty cool, it has a lot of interesting features that makes you almost WANT to log in everyday and see whats going on. We have Photo Galleries, Videos, Arcade Games, MP3s, and a lot of other things that set this site apart from some of the others Ive see. As a member who's between games right now, I thought that I would be looked down upon because thats how most of the guilds Ive handle someone like me. But this guild is so closely knit, that when you have personal problems or tech issues, or just dont want to play that game anymore, they fully understand and will do whatever they can to get you back into a game.

I'm asking anyone that's serious about looking for a mature, game loving guild to visit our site, and see what the Covenant of the Phoenix has to offer you.

I'm currently in my eighth year as a member of the CotP gaming family.

To those of you who possess natural leadership skills, in any capacity, and are looking for a guild who will recognize your ability and give you a chance at becoming part of our leadership team in a relatively short amount of time, joining the CotP today is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of something that can be very rewarding in the long run.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

from our guild charter:

XXXII. Seek great stature of character by holding to the virtues and duties of a knight, realizing that though the ideals cannot be reached, the quality of striving towards them ennobles the spirit, growing the character from dust towards the heavens. Nobility also has the tendency to influence others, offering a compelling example of what can be done in the service of rightness.

I am excited and looking forward to helping with our new AoC chapter. We have a lot of members that going to be playing AoC when it releases. This is a really good time for new members to get involved and help too. There are going to be plenty of opportunities for anyone willing to help the guild and become part of our history.

A guild can make or break a person's experience in a MMO. Different guilds for different folks. The trick is finding one that will become more like a family than a guild, and will last throughout the years. I have been with the guild for over 4 years and I love it, however CotP isn't for everyone.

While we may be a multi gaming guild, we have always taken strides to maintain that close knit family oriented feeling that is often associated with smaller guilds. We aren't looking to expand our guild just for numbers sake, we are merely looking for more friends to game and chat with.

In any case, it doesn't hurt to look. So, please feel free to visit us at www.covenantofthephoenix.com

The Covenant is far more than a gaming guild. I have made lasting friendships with many of my guildmates. We truly our a gaming family. One of the best features of CotP is that it is a multi-gaming guild. I love that when I tire of a game and want to move on to something new, I can still hang out, keep in touch and chat with my friends over our guild vent channels.

Our members are active in the games of their choice. Our forums are active with posts from a wide range of our membership. Our members are helpful, polite and mature.

I am very thankful for the friendships that I have made through CotP. Come take a look at our website (www.covenantofthephoenix.com). Read our forums. Say hello to our members in-game and out. Once you see what we're all about, I'm confident that you'll find CotP can offer you more than just a guild for grouping.
